Today was the monthly Meet & Greet at Barnes & Noble. We had a small crowd, but it was very busy in there. One person, who hasn't been there in a while but who lost her cat this week, got lots of hugs and sympathy, and shared stories and pictures of her kitty. There was a couple at the next table who had a companion dog named Daisy, who got lots of love from our table.

I got asked for camera advice by the 13-year-old daughter of a couple who come regularly to the Meet. She's taking a photography class. I'm far from an expert, but we talked about the different types and I thought her dad's idea was a good one (a used digital SLR), and I promised her that we would do a photowalk at Forest Park this spring, which excited her. Yay! I'm an inspiration to a teenager! *g*

I perused a couple of gorgeous art magazines, and a book about photography that I had read about recently but didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. I also looked through a book that caught my eye about Berkshire ghosts, which had a bookmark in it soliciting manuscripts for other, similar books. Alas, all my ghost stories are fiction.

I see that the publisher of Weird New England has come out with a Weird New York book, which I'm thinking would be a fab mother's day present. Must save my pennies! My mom would totally love that, and I bought the other one for her a couple of years ago.
