busy day

I had quite the full day for a Sunday! I even managed to sleep in until after 8 again. That felt good.

First, some peonies for the Lizard Queen.



And of course, more roses.

I then made my way home, and went to get my hair cut at a salon that was giving haircuts for $10 as a fundraiser for the Shriners. They had clowns. :)



It was really busy, and people looked like they were having fun. I got a nice cut, helped out, and had a good time to boot. It's been a year since I've gotten a haircut, and boy, did I need it!

I stopped at Forest Park on the way home. I drive by it every day, and rarely get the chance to explore it. It's an Olmsted park (like the Arnold Arboretum and Central Park), and it's huge. I don't think I've seen even half of it yet, and I've been there four times.

Some of the mountain laurel was in bloom!







One of these days, I'll have to go to the zoo there.
