yep, it's autumn

Columbus Day is probably the most politically incorrect holiday, but we get it off, and I was glad to be outside instead of in a cubicle.

I took a long walk into town this morning, through all the construction.






Later in the day, I walked over to the cemetery, where the light was incredible.











Some of you may remember a story I wrote a while back about the faery tree in the cemetery. I stopped there to leave a gift for the faeries, and found a letterbox kit in the stump.



Hmmm, maybe I should take up letterboxing!



On the way out, I spied a crow in a tree.
