cabin fever
Jun. 2nd, 2013 06:48 pmI spent most of this weekend inside; I really hate this heat, and I found it difficult to get up the ambition to go anywhere. I meant to go to Grafton and buy more tomato plants, but I never made it there. I did go to Lowe's today to buy critter repellant to protect my sunflowers from the dadgummed woodchucks, and popped into the brand-spanking-new Market Basket next door to check it out, but that was it. They're only 5 minutes from my house.
That a/c unit is the best $100 investment I think I've ever made. It's quite pleasant in here. I don't need to be cool, but I do need to be not hot. Mission accomplished.
Now, the skies grow darker and the wind grows stronger as those storms make their way here. Hopefully they won't do too much damage as they cool us down and water our gardens. :::fingers crossed::: On the news, I'm watching floods and fires across our country. More tornadoes across Oklahoma. Strange days.
