I'm officially sick & tired of this @#$%&* cold. Enough, already! I'm ready to be well. As is my nose. And my abs, which hurt every time I cough. Bleah.
At least I got some sleep last night, thank goodness! I fell asleep fairly quickly, got up only once, and slept until the alarm went off. I was darned tired, because that almost *never* happens. I'm not a good sleeper any more, which is unfortunate because I do like my sleep.
Oh my, the cold meds just kicked in, and I can actually breathe! This is definitely an improvement. Woo!
Must remember to go vote after work. Not that I could really forget; this area is rife with signholders at every major intersection, and lawn signs enough to paper the Parthenon. Sheesh. I suppose that must be effective, if so many people do it, but you gotta wonder about someone who would be swayed by a lawn sign. I know, I know, this country is full of sheep.
Barring catastrophe (or widespread voter fraud), this bluest of the blue states will finally have a Democrat as governor, for the first time since Dukakis. Praise be! And he's a true liberal, which can't be said for all Dems these days.
On the NaNoWriMo front: I'm up to around 4,000 words. Which isn't a lot, but I'm OK with it. It's gotten me to write every day, which was the point. I've made good progress with the story, found a new character that I like a lot, and deepened the mystery. I even know how it ends, although I'm not quite sure how I'll get there just yet. But I will. :)
