not quite a day off

They called me from the office this morning about a network ad that I took yesterday that the network was having a problem with. Apparently they don't take ads that ask you to send money in the mail, even though they take those stupid stuff-envelopes ads. Whatever. So Lynn from the network called me, then I called the customer (he lives in the same town I do), then I called Lynn back with changes, then I called the customer back, who cancelled the ad. So I had to call Lynn again (fortunately, she has a toll-free number). Just a few minutes ago, the customer called me again. Mamma mia! I don't have the info here that he needs, so I'll just have to call him tomorrow from the office. Oh well, at least I might be able to salvage the sale. It was a good one, too.

I hear that the roads out there are quite treacherous, so I don't feel guilty about staying home. My little Hyundai just isn't made for driving in these conditions. Actually, anything short of a tank isn't made for this. They have yet to plow our parking area and driveway, and there was a car stuck in it earlier. They spun their wheels for quite a while.

It just occurred to me that it probably would've been a good idea to take the ice scraper out of my car last night. Hopefully I can still get into it.
