rainy day walk

I went down to Heritage Park on my break this afternoon and took some pictures in the rain. This is some cool grass that's faded to a lovely blond color. Click the link to see more, including the fun playscape with flattened squirrel and beaver!
It was pouring this morning, but has tapered off to a fine mist. The commute was wet, but not too bad otherwise. Just a lot of big puddles. The snow didn't amount to much, and the ice was already melting by the time I left for work this morning. Thank goodness for small favors! It sounds like you guys in the midwest got lots of snow.
I am so very glad it's Friday. This has been one long week! Mercury retrograde was doing its thing this morning, and it was a zoo. Actually, it was right after the deadline that things hit the fan, which would have been this afternoon. It's settled down now, though, which is a good thing. Soon, it will be time to go home. Yay!
ETA: is anyone else having trouble posting to LJ? I had to try four times to post this, and every time I post a comment, I have to try at least twice. Talk about Mercury retrograde!
