It's Friday afternoon, and the long wait for the classifieds proof is on. I'm either having an allergy attack, or coming down with a cold, because my throat is all ucky and I've been congested for days. Bleah. The one Benadryl I had in my bag isn't quite doing the trick. I have more drugs at home, so I didn't want to buy any at lunch. I guess I'll have to suffer, for a couple more hours at least. *heavy sigh*
Jeez, I sound like a cranky old lady, don't I? LOL. It's really not that bad. It's just been a long week, and it went from 85 and humid the other day to 44 and rainy today. Not all that unusual for New England in the spring. I did choose to live here, and at least I don't have a black widow colony in my yard like my friend Jay, who lives in Vegas. Eek!
I got a decent bonus this week, and the unusual flushness of my bank account makes me want to go out and spend money, which I am resisting. The only thing I plan to treat myself with, after I pay the bills and get the necessities I've been putting off, is a decent pair of walking shoes. I really do need them, with all the walking I do. My old Reeboks have a lot of miles on them, and don't really support my feet any more. I think my knees will be happier, too.
The weather dudes keep changing the forecast for tomorrow, which is frustrating. I'm going to a cookout at
coyotegrrrl18's place, and it rained last year (and, I think, the year before), and now they're saying "scattered showers." Which means we may or may not get rained on. Cross your fingers for not!
