is it only Wednesday?
Jun. 6th, 2007 01:52 pmWe're starting to head into the slow summer season here, after the spring frenzy. At least it's a beautiful day: clear air, blue skies, cooler temps. Spending lunchtime outdoors was a pleasure. I started reading Eldest, the sequel to Eragon, which I borrowed from Willow. I have a feeling I'm not going to make it all the way through this book; it's really thick, and it's already annoying me. I suspect that if I were 14, like Willow, I'd love it. But I'm not, and I don't.
So anyway, to combat the slowness, I placed an offer on MediaBids, which is a site where advertisers and papers can place offers and have bids placed on them. Who knows, maybe I'll get some new business from that. I've never won any of the bids I've placed on there, so why not try it the other way around? I also updated our media kit there, which was woefully out of date and, in some spots, incorrect. Go me.
Oh dear, my coworker is going on a rant about foreigners now. *rolls eyes*
OK, now it's time for last runs. Woo. Hoo.
OMG. I just got an email from the boss... she wants Kim & I to run the sales meeting next week! I suspect that this will be the shortest sales meeting in the history of the world. *g*
ETA: Kim's reaction to the same news: "Oh, *please*!"
