lizziebelleYay, I'm home! I had a nice time in Maryland, but it will be nice to sleep in my own bed tonight.
The picture is from the wedding on Friday. Aren't they cute? My little brother is married! It still seems slightly surreal. I'm so happy for them, though. Lanah is a sweetheart. I like her a lot, and she's been really good for Jack. He's still the same funny guy he's always been, but she's been a good grounding influence on him. And today is his 40th birthday!
The party yesterday was lovely. The weather was perfect, and there was a ton of yummy food. They got everything at Whole Foods: cheese, fruit, & dip platters, sandwiches, even the cake. Jack's friend Mark, and another friend of theirs, showed up late, and we all hung out on the porch until nearly 11:00. We watched the moon come up, and I even got them to howl at it. I knew Mark when we lived there 20 years ago, and although I wouldn't have recognized him, he's still the same goofball he's always been. We had a lot of laughs.
The flight today was without incident, and the weather was clear enough to see the landscape below. I took a few pix from the plane. Earth is so beautiful from the air! I love to fly, which astounds my sister, who hates it.
I tried processing my pix with iPhoto, which wasn't much better than the Kodak software, so I uploaded just this one pic and I'll do the rest at work tomorrow at lunch. My computer is just too old and slow.
I'm glad this will be an abbreviated week. We have Wednesday off, and I hope to do some sleep-catching-up. Time now to start planning for Sirius Rising!
