roses in October!

I went down to Stanley Park today, to use up the film in my dad's old camera. He had an Olympus SLR, which I stole back from mom last time I visited. I wanted to get some shots that are difficult or impossible with my little digital, and if they look anything like they did in the viewfinder, they'll be pretty neat. CVS will make a disc, even from film photos, so eventually I'll get to share them.
Of course, I had to take a few shots with my digital, because I'm used to the (nearly) instant gratification, and the roses were quite cooperative. Not a lot of them left, but a few beauties here and there posed for me. There was even an intrepid bridal party, with a very brave (and lucky) bride who dared to plan an outdoor wedding for October. It's a gorgeous, if a bit chilly, day.
