Autumn weekend

Last night's Samhain ritual went well. The crew was slightly different than usual, and it was nice to see some new faces. I got to hang out with some old friends afterward, and
spinningwheels made me some spiffy scales for my stint as the Justice card. He's so handy!
Amazingly, I was home by 10:30. I realized as I was getting out of the car that I'd left my dish at the barn. D'oh! Fortunately,
sea_dark_wine rescued it and I'll get it back next weekend (if I don't forget it again!). She also coordinated the ritual, which was quite a feat.
I managed to sleep in this morning, which was very nice. My computer thought it was back to Standard Time, which I had to remind it isn't until next weekend. Hey, I get an extra hour next Sunday! Maybe I'll go back to the Arboretum.
I decided to go looking for the old graveyard on East Mountain Road that someone on Flickr told me about, so I hopped in the car and headed out. It was just where he said it was, but it was much smaller than I expected. There were only a couple of interesting stones, and the light was behind them so I didn't get good shots of them. They were so similar to the ones in the Mechanic Street burying ground that I think they must have been carved by the same person. The light was nice and the leaves were all over the ground, so I did get a couple of nice seasonal shots.
I stopped at the store on the way home to pick up a couple of things, uploaded the pix, then headed back out for a walk. It was windy and cold! It finally feels like October. I walked through the cemetery and over to Grandmother's Garden, which is looking quite October-like. The quince tree is now completely bare.
