Sunday morning miscellany

lizziebelleIt looks innocent enough out there this morning, all sunny and bright, but overnight it's going to be a different story. I sure am glad that I have nowhere special to be tonight! It looks like I'll be spending tomorrow morning digging out. *sigh*
I love The Pioneer Woman (thank you to whoever turned me on to her, BTW), and today she has a link to some hysterical 70s & 80s photos from Olan Mills. From someone who grew up in the 70s, all I can do is shudder looking at the leisure suits and haircuts, not to mention the mustaches. The commentary is priceless.
Some notes to the advertising industry:
1. 'Genuine' does not rhyme with 'wine'
2. I will never, I repeat never, buy anything from Billy Mays. I cannot hit the mute button fast enough.
3. Polar bears live at the north pole. Penguins live at the south pole. A polar bear would eat a penguin if it came across one, whether or not the penguin offered it a Coke.
And with that, I'm off to rustle up some breakfast. Have a lovely Sunday!
