My employer usually gives us a gift certificate for a turkey at Thanksgiving, but the farm they used to get them from went out of business, so this year they gave us a choice of a gift certificate from a couple of different places. I chose one from Armata's, which is a little grocery in Longmeadow that I happen to know has really yummy chicken pies. I went there on my break and bought said pie, and allowed myself to splurge on one thing that I would never buy for myself; I chose a bottle of Pom Wonderful pomegranate/ mango juice. Yum! I also bought some nice rosemary ciabatta rolls to go with the dipping oil I got in that basket at the Yankee swap.

The pie is quite large, at least 9", so I'll portion it out and freeze some of it for lunches.

I'm quite looking forward to dinner!
