signs of spring

lizziebelleSlowly but surely, winter is giving way to spring. It's still early for flowers and greenery, but the signs are there. Branches are red-tipped; ice turns opaque and recedes from the shoreline; geese gambol with ducks in the slim stretch of open water; breezes refresh rather than freeze.
Here at the paper, further signs of spring include the annual parade of landscapers jockeying to get their ads in early so they're higher in the column, as well as basement waterproofers, and even one pool ad. I even took an ad for a summer camp today: Camp Half Moon, in the Berkshires. :)
I suspect all the Battlestar Galactica fans on my f-list have already seen this, but in case you haven't, there's a very funny recap of the story so far on YouTube. It's frakking awesome. *g*
Weekend dead ahead, and several episodes of Torchwood to keep me entertained. Life could be a lot worse. :)
