good timing

I went to dig out my car, figuring it would be easier this afternoon than in the morning, and finished precisely when the plow guy came back for a second run. So I moved it and he plowed out my space, and back in it went. Yay! He's a nice guy; he's even helped me shovel out behind the car a couple of times. I think he appreciates that I actually move my car for him, unlike most of my neighbors.
It looks like we got about 7 or 8 inches, but it's hard to tell because it's been blowing around quite a bit. We got considerably less than many towns in CT and even just a few miles east of here. Hampden, which is the next town over from where I work, got 20" last I heard. Mom said they had about a foot, southwest of Boston. The heavy band of snow hadn't hit them yet at that point, either. It missed us completely, I think! Thank the gods for small favors. It looks to be mostly over at this point, so hopefully they will have cleared the roads by tomorrow morning.
I'm going back & forth between feeling better and sliding back down again. Right now I feel OK; a little shaky from the exertion, but not too icky. Getting ready for a nice, hot shower. :)
