ami_1 coaxed me out of Westfield today to come with her on a trip to Skinner Mountain, which ended up being closed (well, the road was closed, anyway). We hiked around in the woods a bit, but the stairs intimidated both of us and our middle-aged knees, so we went back down and headed over to Northampton to walk on the bike trail.

We crossed the bridge over the Connecticut River (pictured, with ami_1 in the bottom left corner) and walked quite a way, along with many others out walking, biking, and skating the path on this sunny, breezy day. Then our stomachs told us it was time to head back, and we went to Bruegger's for yummy sammiches and lemonade.

'Twas a lovely afternoon, and I even got some kitty love from Amelia (along with kitty hair all over my jeans). It was nice to get out of my usual routine for a change. :)
