a bit of a relapse

lizziebelleToday was not the best of days. I had felt pretty good yesterday morning, but all those crystals at the gem show made me pretty loopy, and I ended up taking a nap after I got home. I woke up with a nasty headache, which was still there (and then some) when I woke up this morning. Add to that the blinding pain in my head every time I coughed, and you come up with one unhappy kitty.
After Advil and cough medicine barely took off the edge, I made the unhappy decision to stay home from the Lammas Faire today. I was really looking forward to it, too. I wanted to display my photos in the art gallery, and sell some stuff in the flea market, as well as hang out with lots of friends. Boo. My only consolation is that the weather today is fairly crappy, to match my mood. I don't know what it was like in Hopkinton, but here it drizzled for most of the afternoon. I don't imagine that it was very Faire-like.
So I spent most of the day with a book (rereading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince), drinking lots of water and orange juice, and peering out the window at the rain.
I hope those of you who went to the Faire managed to have fun!
