wait, what?

I've managed to keep the primroses from the open house alive. Thriving, even. They do brighten up the office. :)
As usual, LOST blew my mind last night. My first (of several) spontaneous OMGs came about five minutes in. OMG! The island is underwater! OMG, alternate reality! OMG, Juliet is still alive! Whoops, not anymore. OMG, Desmond is on the plane! I felt a little like Hurley when he was in the helicopter, and the island went bloop.
Seeing old faces was nice: Charlie, Boone, Artz, Cindy. The exchange between Boone and Locke was nice ("I'm sticking with you"), as was the one between Locke and Jack ("They didn't lose your father, only your father's body.").
They weren't kidding when they said there was going to be a different way of telling the story this year. It will be interesting to see how the two different realities work out, and if they intersect at all.
I knew the Man in Black was the smoke monster!
I realized, in the middle of the night, that Sun and Jin are now in the same timeline. The people on the beach saw the fireworks set off in the Temple. Oh, I do hope they get back together soon! I hope the alternate Sun & Jin kiss and make up, too. In fact, it was a little sad to see the Losties back before the crash, without all the progress they've made in their lives (Sawyer, Kate, even Jack, although I'm not a big Jack fan).
Interesting that the Temple is Mexican in style, even though it has the Egyptian hieroglyphics on it. Things that make you say Hmmmm....
I wonder about Sayid, and if he'll be changed, as Ben was when he was taken into the Temple after he was shot (by Sayid, ironically). pkmorrison theorized that he is now Jacob. That would explain why Jacob told Hurley to take Sayid to the Temple to be healed. I wonder if Sayid can now kill Locke/MIB?
It sounds like perhaps Richard was on the Black Rock? The comment about seeing him in chains certainly points in that direction.
As always, more questions than answers. They have a finite amount of time in which to answer them! It looks like it's going to be quite a ride. Fasten your seatbelts!
