I managed to take a nice, long nap today, which was most welcome. It was cold but sunny today, so I went for a nice, long walk after my nap. I found a few more signs of spring at the park and out in the woods.
This is what the lungwort looks like on the forest path; it'll be a while before it blooms like the ones I found the other day!
The water is still really high, perhaps even higher than last week. It's usually not flooded around the boardwalk like this.
Rusty says that this is false hellebore. It's coming up all over the place.
If you look at the center of this pic, you can see the ice on the branches. That's how cold the water is! It was much colder along the river.
Back in the park, I found Charlie Brown's kite-eating tree. *g*
The forsythia is just about to bloom.
I'm getting ready to observe Earth Hour, and turn out the lights for an hour. I'll probably spend it writing, as I had some thoughts about my story as I was walking. Pen & paper, of course. :)
Oh! pkmorrison, I got some hawthorn branches for you. I'll send you a message on Facebook. :)
