fool's paradise

I love this day: the first day of the year when my toes are free. It's (finally) sunny, and currently 60 degrees. A fine April Fool's Day, indeed.
The joke on me today was that I had to deal with a creepy, paranoid customer who was placing a political ad. That's an hour I'd like back, please. The real joke is that the dude running against him is even worse. So glad I don't live in this town!
It's still quite soggy down at the park, but the sunshine makes it seem not quite so bad.
The leaves are coming out on the crabapple tree:
The lungwort is nearly drowned, but is still looking pretty good:
This poor goose looked like she was injured or sick. She barely moved when I went right up to her.
I am always finding animals in distress! I said a prayer to Artemis for her; I hope she's OK.
Back at the office, I found this bumblebee hanging out behind the building. First one I've seen this year!
I would have thought that the swans would be back by now, but it looks like they weren't back until later in April last year. I miss their antics. The geese aren't nearly as entertaining. *g*
