It's the first of May, and that means Beltane here in these parts. I decided not to go to the dawn maypole dance in Cambridge this year, because the logistics had me dizzy, and I really needed sleep. By the time I got up, they were all enjoying a nice breakfast at the S&S, I'm sure.
I went for an extra-long walk, from which I am still recovering. It's rather warm today, and sunny, and I was out for about four hours, so it took a lot out of me. But it gave me back so much more.
I planted sweet peas in a few sunny spots, and found a wonderful place by the river to sit and contemplate while sitting on the moss. I came across a couple of young men who were stacking stones in the creekbed, and saw two of my doggy buddies out for a romp. Except for the bugs, it was perfect.
My hair is now pomegranate, because my usual haircolor seems to be no longer available. It's really red. I mean really. Also, I'd forgotten how awful permanent haircolor smells. Pew! It's Garnier, and it was on sale. We'll see how this works out.
I must now pack for the coven Beltane tonight, and either a walk in the Arboretum or church tomorrow, depending on the weather.
I hope you all have a fabulous day!
