I took a nice, long walk down to Stanley Park this afternoon, and I did find signs of spring there, as you can see. There were quite a few people there enjoying the day, having picnics and bothering the geese, who were trying to nap. Click the link to see more pix, including the geese!

I wandered over into the wildlife preserve part of the park, which I hadn't been in before. There are lots of nice paths through the woods there, and fewer people. I found a nice, boulder-lined space that would be perfect for an outdoor ritual. I wonder if I can get folks there for Beltane or Midsummer? That would be fun.

Now that it'll be light out later, this week I may venture over to the cemetery and see if anything's poking up over there. Plants! I meant plants!

I'm feeling quite grubby & sweaty now, so I think I'll throw in a load of laundry and take a nice, long shower. Happy Sunday everyone!

If this is the part of the park I think you are talking about, a lot of joggers go through there at random times. Westfield State Cross Country uses that area for practice as well. There are some beautiful spots back there, though. The wildlife area is my favorite part of that park.

Oh, I don't think the occasional jogger would be a problem. I'm not looking for a necessarily *private* spot, just a nice one. :)

Now that I've discovered this new spot, I will be spending lots of time there! I adore walking in wooded areas.
