So, it snowed...

... but not nearly as much as they said it would. It looks like we got about 4-5", but it's hard to tell because it's blowing about quite a bit.
After warming up by clearing off and moving my car, I walked down to Stanley Park this morning, which was deserted (but plowed out, curiously).
Here is an action shot of the snow blowing around:
It had stopped falling by then, and the sun came out soon after.
I wasn't thrilled with most of the pix I had taken, so after lunch I went out for another walk, this time in the bright sunshine.
Here, you can see the results of the blowing snow:
There was some really great ice on the town offices:
The heather still has some blossoms, hanging on in the bitter wind and cold:
I'm really glad I didn't have to drive anywhere this morning. It didn't look like it would be a fun commute.
People in Westfield are better at clearing their sidewalks than people in Canton (where my mom lives). There were only a couple that weren't cleared. By the time I walked back, my footprints had been filled in or covered over by the blowing snow.
I'm warming up with some peppermint tea, and the sun has already gone down behind the building next door. Maybe later this week, it'll warm up enough to get some nice late-day snow pictures.
