power problems (again)

The power went out this morning, giving me flashbacks to the storm two weeks ago. It may have been from the wind (which was wicked), knocking down already loosened branches; or it may have been someone hitting a pole, as I heard sirens not long after it went out.

I packed Lulabelle and headed down to the library, but the power outage made it all the way down there too. The librarian said she heard it went all the way up to the college. Yikes. So I walked down to McDonald's to use their wifi. I didn't stay long though, because apparently McDonald's and Walmart have the same customer base, at least in this town. :::shudder:::

I wandered around town a bit, then headed for home. The traffic light on the corner was working, so I had high hopes, but my power wasn't back yet. Fortunately, only five minutes or so after I got home, it came back on. Hurray! I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to watch the 8th Harry Potter movie, which I got yesterday (on sale, with Extra Bucks too, at CVS).

I'm just glad it came back before the sun went down.
