Sunday rambling

It's warmer out today, but also very windy, so I decided it would probably not be a good idea to go out into the woods filled with trees stressed by several heavy snowfalls over the winter. I hopped in Morgan la Fe and headed west out Route 62, through Berlin and Clinton, and ended up in Sterling, where I found this excellent old burial ground. It's full of marvelous 18th-century slate stones, with all sorts of wonderful carvings. You can see the whole set of my pix here.

Isn't that great? I'd love to know more about this style; I've seen it in other places. Quite different from the other carvings.
