plans gone awry

lizziebelleI had hoped to be able to go to NYC this weekend, but as it turns out, my cousin is busy. So that's been put on hold for the time being. I will make it there this spring, just not yet.
So now I have a three-day weekend with no plans, and I desperately need to do something out of my usual routine. I'm seriously burnt out after this horrid winter. I can't go into Boston, because it's Marathon weekend, and that way madness lies. I have a few days to wrack my brains for ideas.
At least the weather has finally been spring-like. I took a nice long walk at the wildlife refuge on Saturday, where the snow is finally gone. I didn't find too many signs of spring except for a turtle and a heron, but it was a lovely day and it was nice to be in the woods with no bugs.
