Autumn in New England

It's October in New England, and you know what that means.

Glorious, glorious color.

Leaves going out in a blaze of glory.

We actually have a frost advisory this weekend, which means even more glorious color.

I intend to enjoy every second of it, because before long, the trees will be bare.

Right now, they are absolutely stunning. I plan to go out again tomorrow to capture more of it!

But our native woods are never quite that spectacular even when the leaves do start turning - if I want to see that sort of colour, I shall have to plan an expedition to Minterne Gardens to see the Japanese acers.
