Autumn in New England

It's October in New England, and you know what that means.



Glorious, glorious color.



Leaves going out in a blaze of glory.



We actually have a frost advisory this weekend, which means even more glorious color.



I intend to enjoy every second of it, because before long, the trees will be bare.



Right now, they are absolutely stunning. I plan to go out again tomorrow to capture more of it!

So lovely!

We're a few weeks behind you, the leaves still green here. But our native woods are never quite that spectacular even when the leaves do start turning - if I want to see that sort of colour, I shall have to plan an expedition to Minterne Gardens to see the Japanese acers.

We're really lucky to have so many sugar maples here. They really are spectacular this time of year.
