I had a fun day yesterday... I got to go to the showing of the Clio awards at the Basketball Hall of Fame. Some of them were really funny! And we got a free lunch from Max's Tavern to boot! Then, later, I went to our paper's "Meet the Press" presentation at the Yankee Pedlar, where we had an MDA lockup last summer. They talked about how to get your news/events into the paper, and also talked about radio & TV as well as other publications. Very informative, and fun to see how the news dept. works. Lisa, Todd & Mike went with me. We got some good tips!

Today, I went for a walk down to Heritage Park at lunch. It's about 1/4 mile from the office. It's a nice little park! I watched the ducks, geese & swans begging for food. They have signs all over the place not to feed the wildlife, but I suspect some people do because they were quite bold. It was a nice respite from working.

We had our first Discussion Group of the fall tonight, and only Mike, Lisa & I showed up. So we talked about the book they're writing, then we went to Friendly's for ice cream. We tried to think of ways to get people more involved, and whether some of the feuds are keeping people away. We decided not to mention on the list that nobody showed, and ask for topic suggestions with a prize going to the one that gets the most votes. Let's see if this works!

Yay, tomorrow's Friday! I got "Shrek 2" from Netflix today, I have something fun to watch for tomorrow night.
