I managed to not accomplish much of anything this weekend. Which was my goal, so I suppose I succeeded there. I had enough activity on wednesday and thursday, I needed to just rest. I went to Lynn's on wed. to hang out with her and Darcie, who was visiting for the week. We went to the movies to see "National Treasure," which was not great but entertaining. I stayed overnight, and went to a football game with Kathy & Willow thursday morning. We got quite wet when it started to pour. We left at halftime, but found out later that the score hadn't changed after that so we didn't really miss anything. Canton won, go Bulldogs! Scott came to pick up Willow, and we met Mom at the Church for their orphan's Thanksgiving. It was better than I expected; I didn't really relish spending the holiday with a bunch of strangers, but they were all nice and the food was yummy. I even got to take home leftovers for the mandatory day-after turkey & stuffing sandwich. Mmmmm.

I had to work on friday, because the press doesn't stop for holidays. It was a weird day though, with only about half the company there. I was nearly the last to leave, because Leo doesn't quite get the concept of "I need that now." Nice kid, a little slow.

Then it was another two days off, which I spent mostly in my papasan chair watching DVDs & tapes of "Smallville," and reading. I did go food shopping today, in the rain, and I cleaned up the kitchen, but other than that, nil. I didn't even turn on the computer till about half an hour ago.

Hey, the Eagles clinched the NFC East today! I only sort of know what that means, but I'm sure Dad is happy wherever he is. That was his team. Go Eagles!

You know, I'm really not that big a football fan. You'd never know it from reading this post! But we were a football family growing up. It was Dad's sport. He even played in high school.

I splurged on one thing at the grocery store today. Actually, it was on sale, but it was more a caloric splurge than a monetary one. Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Haagen Daaz ice cream. I haven't bought ice cream in ages. I'm really looking forward to having some this evening! Hey, chocolate is good for you!
