yay for Friday
Apr. 28th, 2006 07:21 pmI knew my day was going to be better than yesterday, because it began with George Clooney. Granted, he was on my television and not in my bed, but still. I'll take George however I can get him. He was there, along with his dad, to talk about the horrors happening in Sudan. Let's all swoon together, shall we? There's nothing sexier than a liberal movie star who actually does something about bad things happening in the world. Here's a fluffy little piece that outlines the details.
Mmmm, George with breakfast. It just doesn't get any better.
I decided to try an alternate route to work, because they're resurfacing my usual route. I went down through Southwick and over through Agawam instead of straight through West Springfield. You know what? It didn't take me any longer, and I had cows, horses & trees to look at instead of traffic and construction equipment. I arrived at the office much less aggravated than is the norm.
Martine (head of financial dept.) had stopped at Panera for bagels & cream cheese, so I had a nice second breakfast at my desk. A nice change from the usual yogurt and cereal bar.
I managed to finish the last runs, correct the proof, and take care of all my customers before noon. Go me.
I had made brownies a few days ago, and brought in a bunch to share, thus cementing my popularity with the art department. It's nice to have coworkers with a healthy appetite, especially for chocolate. *g*
The theme of the week seems to be Big Cats. The other day, it was a white tiger. Today, I needed a pic of a Bobcat (the kind that landscapers use, not the furry kind) for a customer's ad, and on the way home, I saw a Jaguar on fire. The car, not the kitty.
Meow.
