big day

I'm very excited about the Pipes in the Valley festival today! It looks like it will be a bit chilly, but dry. It was 36 degrees when I got up this morning. Eek! Must dress in layers.

Tomorrow is not looking quite as good; they've got rain predicted. This is the first time there won't be spectacular weather for Pagan Pride Day. I hope people come anyway. There will be a few folks there I am looking forward to seeing, and hopefully I can unload sell some stuff.

I slept a bit better last night, due in part to the new pillow I bought at Job Lot yesterday on the way home. It's a faux down, gusseted pillow, and it seems to be better at supporting my neck. I wish I could afford one of those Tempur-pedic ones (and the mattress pad as well); I suspect that would be much better.

Last night was the premiere of the new Doctor Who, and I managed to stay awake for most of it. I did tape it, though, because I knew I couldn't stay awake until 10:30. I giggled at the Arthur Dent reference. And the "Tell the President he is not my boss" line. That was pretty bold. I was disappointed, though, that spoiler )

Oy, they're saying we're getting a big freeze next week. Time to dig out the warmer clothes! Speaking of which, I need to get off my butt and start getting ready. Have a wonderful weekend, all!

I had a fabulous time today at Pipes in the Valley in Hartford. The weather was great, the music was fantastic, and I had tons of fun with my honeys. It was so good to see Jay, and wonderful to finally see his group! They are really good, and they put on a great show. If they come your way (they usually play Highland Games and Celtic Festivals), do go see them! They're terrific musicians, and nice guys.

We had fun wandering around and looking at the sights. There were birds of prey, Highland games, cattle, and lots to eat & drink. Click the link to see all the pix! I haven't gotten around to putting names & descriptions with them yet, but I will eventually.
