Friday randomness
Dec. 15th, 2006 03:36 pmAs usual, my Friday afternoon is all about the wait. Actually, a new customer came in and bought a four-color ad, so it wasn't all bad. Go me.
I wonder how those people who have the mega-bass in their cars don't have constant headaches. I get one just from them driving by. Which makes me roll my eyes, which is, I think, the intended effect. I think I must be getting old.
I finally remembered to buy wrapping paper today. It takes about four trips to the drugstore to get all the things I need, because I forget at least one thing on each trip. I'll get home, go to brush my teeth or something, and say "D'oh!" At least I come by it honestly; my mother is as forgetful (if not more) than I, and has a name for it: CRS (can't remember sh*t).
I've been reading David Sedaris lately, and I find myself searching my childhood for funny stories about which I could write. I don't think I have anything in my past remotely as bizarre as some of his stories, though. I know he elaborates somewhat, but my family is quite vanilla next to his. Our dysfunctions were less exotic, I guess.
