Interesting that they found O.J. Simpson guilty 13 years to the day that he was acquitted of murder. Delayed justice? I have no doubt that he did what he was accused of. I'm also pretty sure that he was guilty the last time, which goes to show that our justice system is not perfect. Karma perhaps? My thoughts are that he thought himself above the law because of his celebrity, and he was just shown that that's not true any more. I find the whole thing sad. I'm old enough to remember when he was a football hero, not a parody.

The Georgia Board of Education voted on Dec. 14 to uphold a local school board's decision to leave Harry Potter books on library shelves, despite a mother's objections that they promoted witchcraft, the Associated Press reported.

The bill to amend the state constitution to ban gay marriage was effectively killed yesterday. There's an article about it here. I like the picture: it shows a supporter of gay marriage with a sign that says "Can I vote on your marriage?" Kinda says it all, don't you think? :)
