lizziebelle: (Hermione- Really?)
I make my last run calls on Wednesday afternoons (calling people whose ads are done running to see if they want to renew), and sometimes the reactions I get are on the odd side. Now and then, someone acts suspicious, like I'm a bill collector or the IRS or something. Once, a couple had a fight with each other while one of them was on the phone with me. Today, I called and asked for the customer whose name was on the account, and the woman who answered the phone said that he's laying down right now. OK then! Nice to see he's such a go-getter. *g* (He's a handyman, in case you're wondering)

Who says the Catholic Church is out of touch with the modern world?

The Vatican took a break from strictly theological matters Tuesday to issue its own rules of the road, a compendium of do's and don'ts on the moral aspects of driving and motoring.

A 36-page document called "Guidelines for the Pastoral Care of the Road" contains 10 Commandments covering everything from road rage, respecting pedestrians, keeping a car in good shape and avoiding rude gestures while behind the wheel.
