I survived my family reunion
Jul. 29th, 2007 03:45 pmAnother family reunion come & gone, and it's good to be home. We had a nice time, everyone behaved for the most part, and I still can't keep all of my cousin Julie's kids straight. It rained, lightly, for about five minutes (while we were on the haywagon), but otherwise the weather was good. Not too hot, and a nice breeze.
The family photos are truly like herding cats, especially when my aunt wanted to get subgroups going (aunts & uncles, cousins, cousins' kids), so I started meowing. Several of us were roaming with cameras, taking more pictures than tourists at Yellowstone. Uncle Robert promises to put together a DVD for next year.
Julie & some of her kids put together a CD of their Christian music, which has nice harmonies even though the words aren't to my taste. I think I can put names to faces for about 5/9 of her kids now. I still can't remember the name of her youngest. ;)
It was good to see everyone. Several people were missing, but we counted 55 who showed. Yeah, it's a large family, and that's only my mom's side! There are nearly as many on my dad's side.
I'm almost finished with Harry Potter 7; must hole up and finish reading it today.
