I rarely get to toot my own horn concerning work issues (usually I'm grumbling about something), but today I made a Big Important Sale, so, toot!
They (the PTB) decided to sell ad space on the bags in which we deliver our paper. This spot is available to only one customer, as they're buying a whole year's worth, and the cost is $4,995. I have exactly one customer who has pockets deep enough for that (an HMO), and thought, What the heck? It's worth a try.
Well, they said yes! My boss (and *her* boss) are both very happy. I'm happy. Everybody's happy! Well, except for the other salespeople, who didn't make the sale. ;)
This buys me an awful lot of brownie points. *g*
