Nov. 13th, 2012 03:25 pmI don't have internet at home yet (they didn't have any Saturday appointments until after the holiday, and my next weekday off is next Wednesday), so I have fallen hopelessly behind in all my social media. I don't miss most of it, except for LJ. I hope to get caught up someday, but I doubt that's possible at this point. Please let me know if I've missed anything earth-shattering, cool, important, or wonderful.
I've been in the new place for a week now, and it's starting to feel like a home. I've unpacked most everything except for the books and a few non-essential items. I have dishes, and groceries, and so far everything works the way it's supposed to.
I found it appropriate that I was starting anew at Samhain, the Celtic new year. It's all about endings & beginnings. The ending of staying in someone else's home, and the beginning of living in my own place. The fallow time, when thoughts turn inward and we rest from the busy summer. Boy, do I need rest.
