It was a lovely day for a walk, so I went down to Stanley Park with camera in tow to see what autumn had left there. Click the link to see what I found! I finally remembered to take a pic of the tree growing through the fence at the cemetery, too.
The park was closed for the winter, so there were very few people around, which was nice. There were a few stubborn roses still blooming, and a few gorgeous beech trees, glowing copper in the sunlight.
A few of my shots didn't turn out, because the camera focuses on the wrong thing, so I didn't get the little purple flowers or the Christmas Fern. I left a trinket for the faeries at the Fairy Tree, which has also resisted being photographed, unsurprisingly.
I continued down the street to go to the craft fair that Diane told me was at Westfield State, and for which there were signs everywhere, but it turns out to be happening next Saturday. I wasn't the only one looking for it, either. Why would they put signs up all over town today? *shrugs*
Already the sun is lowering in the west, and the light has turned golden. I'm glad I got out to enjoy the delightful weather; the forecast is calling for rain for four of the next five days.
