As, I hope, are all of you! It took me over an hour to get home (usually about a 40-minute drive). I really didn't think I was going to make it up the hill in West Springfield. The roads were just awful. The rain this morning made a lovely layer of ice under the snow. When I got home, I made myself some hot cocoa and read some Stephanie Plum. Of course, I had to call me mum to let her know I was safely at home. She does worry so. It was still raining in Canton.
The plow guy came an hour or so after I got home. I went out to move my car so he could clear out around me. Now I won't have to shovel out tomorrow, unless we get a lot more snow tonight. So far, it hasn't accumulated any more.
I had to stop halfway home and clear off the wipers. They were crusted with snow & ice, and not clearing off the windshield. Being able to see the road is a good thing!
