There wasn't a whole lot of action at the West Side Taste earlier, but it was still fun. The rain held off, and people eventually started trickling in. We gave away lots of food & drink tickets, and had some tasty food ourselves. The poor folks at the midway looked bored out of their minds, and the merry-go-round operator looked at me like I had two heads when I took pictures of the cool animals on the ride. They were so cool, though! Click the link to see more, including a rooster, a bunny, and a stag. This kitty was my favorite.

I went to see Ocean's Thirteen, which was as much fun as promised. A definite thumbs-up. I have the Academy Award-nominated short films to watch this evening. All in all, a pretty good Saturday. :)

It's a replica of a particular wooden carousel from, I think, the turn of the century. I used to collect info on carousels; they sorta fascinate me. :-)
