lizziebelleI walked down to Stanley Park this morning, and the roses are out in force! Click the link to see them all, and they are gorgeous.
There was a wedding setting up in the rose garden, but I managed to take a bunch of photos before the ceremony started. The bride was walking down the 'aisle' as I was leaving. If I'd gone a half hour later, I would've been out of luck.
What a beautiful day, too! Bright blue skies and cool breezes. A nice day for a wedding, and a nice day for a walk.
Tonight is the coven Midsummer, when the Corn Maiden and Harvest Lord get handfasted. How appropriate! I have no idea what to make for the feast. I'd better get cracking on that!
I was supposed to go on a photo safari at the Arboretum with Kitti tomorrow, but she had to cancel, so now I have a bonus Sunday. I have a bunch of stuff I can get done, so it's not all bad. I think I might just drive home after the ritual tonight, so I can get an early start (and sleep in my own bed). Friday is my bro's wedding (do I see a theme here?), so I have lots to do.
