It was cool & lovely out this morning, so I went next door to the cemetery and took a bunch of pictures. This cool-looking bug didn't come out as clearly as I'd like; he looked like a leaf with legs. I also took a bunch of tiger lilies, hydrangea, and other stuff: click the link to see more!

I watched a bunch of crows chase one hawk around from tree to tree, and I cost another hawk his breakfast by scaring a squirrel into a tree. The hawk looked annoyed.

I went to the Gem, Mineral & Fossil show this afternoon, meeting a few friends there. I was pleasantly surprised that Lisa from Austin was still in town, and she came with Cymbri & Rob. So I got to hang out with her a bit, which is nice because we didn't get much chance at Brushwood to catch up. I also saw several other friends there, and Vinnie was there with his dad, who had just been diagnosed with stomach cancer. It was nice to meet him.

After looking at all the shinies (and not buying anything, shockingly), my back had had enough of the cement floor and I left, stopping at Michael's on the way home for stuff to frame a couple of photos. I need to go out once more, though, to get munchies for tomorrow.

Not much going on, my sweetie is working and I am just puttering around. I watched "Pride and Prejudice" on TV this afternoon...it is a bit too muggy and hot to garden though I did for a while...I just took the dog for a walk.

That is surprising Lisa is still around, I did not know she was staying in the area for so long. She and Rob had a "thing" at Starwood so that may be one reason...I did not get to talk to her too much at Starwood either but saw her here and there...

It is starting to cloud up and look like rain and tonight's forecast is for fog; darn it, I hope we will be able to see the meteor showers tomorrow!

She said she was spending the summer up here because it was too hot in Austin.

Hmmmm on the "thing"... wouldn't surprise me on her end, but would on his. Maybe.

No "maybe" about it. At all. It was quite blatant. I assumed he and Cymbri had an open relationship.

Yay! I must remember to bring D's kitchen stuff. I have a list of things I have to remember!
