a nice day for a walk

It was so gorgeous out this morning, I headed to my favorite spot, Stanley Park, for a photographic foray.

I came across this pretty leaf on the sidewalk on the way there:



Inside the park, I found this on the ground:



On the forest path, I found False Solomon's Seal, and the real thing:



I came across this cool-looking fungi in the woods:



There were some beautiful flowers in the garden:





I came across a man feeding the ducks:



He told me that the white one had been someone's pet, but when they had to move, they brought it to the park.

There were also geese, and they looked (and sounded) like a gang of unruly teenagers:



I half expected them to start singing "When you're a Jet, you're a Jet all the way..."

I'm really pleased with a lot of the pix. It was worth wrestling with the software to process them all. And it was a lovely walk. :)

Usually when you see them this early, it's from a distressed tree. Plus the storms that came through last night blew them off the trees.

Not shown above, but 'with the lot', my favorite is the water lily that is the darker/bluer view, the leaves farther apart.
