Nice boss lady let us go home as soon as the classifieds were done, which turned out to be around 4:00. I think most people went home early, because the traffic was pretty light. The roads were not good, but I had plenty of room to go slowly, and I only slid in a couple of places. My street and driveway were actually plowed for a change, so for once that wasn't the worst part of the trip! Very glad to be home, and nowhere to go tomorrow. I have Doctor Who and Harry Potter 5 to watch, and leftover pizza for dinner. Plus, I have pie! Mmmmmm, pie. Darn good cherry pie.

Called mum and let her know I made it home. She does worry.

Fun story of the day: a man in my town took a live, WWII-era bomb to the police station today. They had to take it out and explode it. He says he didn't know it was live. Can you imagine if someone hit him? Oy!

Stay safe, and have a great weekend!

Glad you got home relatively easily! So did I (and also left earlyish, about 3:00), with a very similar commute, considering it's usually a very busy route. Roger shoveled 1-2 inches when he got home, and I did another 1-2 when I came home 2+ hours later, so it's really coming down.

Glad you're both home!

One good thing about being in an apartment is no shoveling. They're pretty good about keeping our drive clear.

Love your icon :-D

Amazing about the rocket. So all this time he had live ordnance at home and didn't even know it! I mean, since Pearl Harbor? Too amazing...

A. closed at 2 but my boss kicked me out at 1 so I came home and made pizza dough and stuffed ourselves on combo pizza w/ turkey bacon, smoked cheese, roasted tomatoes and peppers and sauteed onions.

That's funny... pizza must have seemed like the ultimate comfort food yesterday. I got a craving for home made pizza just before I left work, so I got on the Internet and found a recipe for whole grain crust, then bought some toppings on my way home *since I had to stop for bread and milk anyway* (tee hee) and whipped some up for dinner, after all the shoveling. Ours had sausage and sauteed onions and mushrooms, yellow and red peppers.

Mmmmm

that sounds amazing! It's funny you should mention comfort food. When S. and I were preparing supper D. read us the *man on the street* question about comfort foods.
Pizza made the top 5!
