How sad: someone stole the signs from Stanley Park, where I go walking all the time. I hope they catch whoever did it.

Also in the news: some of you know that my mom, sis, and niece live in Canton, MA. Yesterday, a freight car ran into a commuter train there. Fortunately, none of them were on the train. The station is just around the corner from where my sis used to live. Yikes!

Oh yeah, mom told me that last night. Alas, it costs me about $20 in gas to go out there and back.

You'll just have to come see me sometime. I can pick you up in CT. Heck, we can hit Ikea on the way! ;)

Yeah, I can imagine that gas is an absolute bear right now. Yeesh. But we simply *must* do the meet-in-New-Haven thing sometime... shortysugarplum has talked about coming up and doing the trek, too. :-)

I heard about that this morning. Glad your family are all okay. What freaked me out was that the freight car rolled 2 miles before it hit the commuter train. I mean... that's one heck of an unpowered roll...

It was a weird commuting day. First the subway broke down and we had to disembark and then the commuter rail broke down. But I'll tell you, when I got home and watched the news I stopped complaining.

probably the 12th although we will be in Middlefield part of the day. I may go out next weekend as well. I will keep you informed.
