The barn party was a lot of fun, and there was great food & drink, but it was stinking hot and muggy, so I petered out around ten and headed home. I never do well in the heat, and this came upon us quite suddenly (yesterday it was 60, today it was 95), so I was feeling a little bleah. The AC in the car helped, and there was some fantastic lighting for a lot of the trip (and even a little rain, around Sturbridge). I took another shower to wash off all the stickiness, and now I am quite comfortable. And wide awake, natch. I'm sure the party is still going strong; they were talking about pole dancing when I left. *g*

It was lovely to see everyone, and I even got a chance to catch up with a few folks I don't get to see very often. I found out that a friend works in the next town over from where I work; I am sure there will be lunch together sometime soon.

Gonna try to sleep now. I hope you're all staying cool!

J decided preemptively that it would be too hot for her comfort, so changed her mind re attending. And I spent 9 hrs on the string arrangements! Glad you had a good time.

Ah, I was wondering where she was! She would most likely not have enjoyed the heat. It made me woozy for a bit, but Gatorade helped.
