Today is Nature Photography Day, and I did my bit by going out into the woods at the wildlife sanctuary and snapping a few photos.

This picture epitomizes what I love about the woods: green, lush, full of promise and life. I have never been able to resist a pathway into the woods.

There was a lot more storm damage in the sanctuary than in Stanley Park. There were even a couple of trees down right over the path, forcing me to go around.

Any idea what that flower is? (the one that is "at rest in a bed of moss") Very cool!

I have no idea! It had fallen from a tree, I presume, but I couldn't see which tree. It was pretty neat looking, though!
