another wicked cool fungus
Originally uploaded by Lizzie~Belle.
I took a long walk this afternoon to work off some nervous energy, and I found some cool things. This fungus was in the same vicinity as the coral-shaped one I saw a couple of weeks ago. It's been so wet here, there were lots of interesting fungi about, only some of which I was able to capture with my camera.

Nearby, I saw this fabulous flower:

exotic

Does anyone know what it is? Is it a passion flower?

There were lots of beautiful daylilies at Stanley Park. Go to my Flickr stream to see them all.

Looking it up? That makes sense! *g*

Thanks - it's quite striking. I didn't know they grew around here.

I think your fungus might be a chicken of the woods--they're delicious.

Your close-ups of the insides of day lilies are gorgeous!

That fungus sort of looks like one that we had in our back yard
