I do dislike Mondays. It's so quiet in here, and lonely. The highlight of my day was getting the new postage machine installed. It's very shiny and new, though! And it works! The old one was already old when I came here, over four years ago. The new one is blue and grey, and matches the office decor.

Pictured is a stump I found in the woods yesterday, covered in some kind of fungi that looks like barnacles. Sort of. From afar. It was cool. And in the woods, and not here.

I think they're exploded mini-puffballs--I've seen ones like them on dead wood. It's such a cool picture--looks like something from Nausicaa.

Oh, that makes sense! The puffballs I usually see are brown, though. I should have poked one. ;)
